Virginia Tech's ePortfolio (VTeP) is a web-based, interactive tool designed to help students create, organize, reflect on, and share evidence of their educational accomplishments, both in courses and extracurricular activities. ePortfolio is also seen as a tool to assist programs and departments with self-studies and accreditation. Via hands-on activities and exploration, participants in this short course will experience VTeP at Virginia Tech and learn how to use the product. The new version of ePortfolio, residing within Scholar, will be of particular interest during this short course. This session will also introduce ways in which electronic portfolios are being used inside and outside of the classroom, both at Virginia Tech and beyond to better understand the place of an ePortfolio in the university.
