New Media Center
Faculty Development Institute

James Dustin has worked for over 10 years at the New Media Center maintaining computer classrooms and labs, helping patrons with various multimedia projects, and maintaining servers for the department. He works with students, faculty, and staff daily, teaching various applications to help them with their individual projects. Multimedia work is his favorite. Digital video work is steadily becoming the number one usage request in the Center. Staying ahead of the technology curve is an interest of his, so you'll find him reading about new technologies, beta-testing new applications, etc. When it comes to video work, the biggest piece of advice he has is to be prepared to invest some time in your project.

When not working at Torgersen, James volunteers for the local fire department and rescue squad in Blacksburg.
