Creating Streaming Audio and Video for the Web

1 pixel Do you have audio, video, or audio-enhanced PowerPoint presentation files that you would like to make available via the web? Streaming media is often the perfect solution. This short course will focus on the software and steps required to convert existing audio and video files to the "Real Media" streaming file format. Streaming media files must be housed on special servers to function properly, and this session will provide you with contact information and the proper steps for getting access to Virginia Tech's streaming servers. Time investment issues and faculty support options for the creation of streaming media will also be discussed. Hands-on activities will be an integral part of this session.
