This short course is intended for current users of LabVIEW. During this session, you will learn about the new capabilities of National Instruments LabVIEW 8 graphical programming and how it can enhance your teaching and research applications. We will also look at the basics of large application through state machine development using hands-on exercises. Development techniques will be demonstrated through real-world applications, and interactions with colleagues developing both large and small applications with LabVIEW will be part of this short course. Participants will discuss and learn about Express functions, interactive measurement assistants, and distributed and embedded targets. This short course is an opportunity for you to enhance your research, retool your teaching, and network with other LabVIEW users at Virginia Tech.
