A Student's View of Blackboard CourseInfo

A Checklist of Things To Do

Feel free to explore everything and anything in this site. Just be sure to do the following:

  1. View the syllabus under "Course Information".
  2. Browse "Topics One and Two" under "Course Documents". Note the variety of information types that can be placed here.
  3. Read the "Sample Course Assignments" under "Assignments".
  4. Take the "Midterm Exam" under "Assignments", then "Sample Exams/Quizzes"
  5. Visit your group work area and take part in the threaded discussion titled "Your Thoughts". Go to "Communication", then "Group Pages", then select your group. You must post one question about what you learned today. You must also attempt to answer at least two of your groupmates' questions. Do that by "Replying" to them.
  6. Visit the "Student Tools". Check your grade. Submit your homework to your "Student Drop Box" using the following steps. Using Microsoft Word, create a new file that contains your name. Save and upload the file as follows:
    1. Give the file a name that follows this format: yourPID_assign1.rtf (example:faculty13_assign1.rtf)
    2. Save the file as type "Rich Text Format" (.RTF). RTF files can be read by any word processing software on any platform. This ensures your homework can be read by the instructor.
    3. Save to the Desktop so you can find it again.
    4. Click on the Student Drop Box Icon
    5. Click on the Browse button and find the file you just created and saved
    6. Enter the following in the "Name of Link to File" field: Your Full Name, Assignment 1
    7. Click "Send File to Instructor"

That's it. Be sure to explore the rest of the course web site.
