Faculty Development Institute - 2002 Summer Planning Dates

The 2002 Faculty Development Institute is marked by an effort to shift toward delivery of FDI training on a year-round basis with less emphasis on summer workshops. This increased year-round delivery is based on a combination of self-paced asynchronous titles and online delivery of specific FDI content. Faculty are encouraged to pursue individualized training to meet their specific needs.

There will be a series of informational sessions offered that can assist faculty in creating an individualized training plan utilizing both Element K and FDI workshops, as well as year-round New Media Center support to assist in successful project completion.

FDI will continue to offer a broad range of computers featuring the latest software and hardware.

Please read this document carefully to understand several new approaches and procedures we will be using. If you have questions not answered here, or would like to make suggestions, please contact John Moore, Director of Educational Technologies (jmoore1@vt.edu).
