2003 Spring Track E

General Information
This year, FDI is offering alternative tracks that will meet during the spring semester. By attending the sessions that comprise the spring tracks, faculty can meet the participation requirements to receive computers. By doing so, faculty will also receive their computer earlier than those attending summer tracks. Enrollments in spring tracks will be limited.

General Description
This is a production-oriented track for faculty who have conceived of an instructional project that requires the creation of multimedia content. We will focus on the following topics: project planning, web page element management, web object creation (audio, video, and animation), web media integration, and web interaction concepts. This track is designed to provide flexibility to faculty with busy summer schedules; therefore, participants can choose from instructor-led or asynchronous sessions. This workshop can be used as a companion to Tracks B and/or C, and academic support staff and graduate teaching assistants may participate with faculty as a 2-person project team.

Spring Alternative Track E Requirements
The spring alternative of the track will require participants to attend six selected spring short courses to receive a computer. Below lists the required short courses with descriptions and dates offered. If you plan to attend a spring alternative track, you must select from the sessions listed below and fill out the Spring Track E Sign-up form no later than January 21, 2003. Please note that there is also a special version of Track E with an emphasis on Digital Video. To register for the digital video emphasis, fill out the Spring Track E Video Sign-up form.
